Classes
Getting Ahead
Getting Ahead in a Just-Gettin’-By World is an 18-session course that educates Investigators about poverty and assists them in improving their economic stability as they seek to transition out of poverty. This course includes a review of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES) and how ACES impact individuals into their adult lives.

Staying Ahead - Getting Ahead graduates have opportunities to participate in monthly Staying Ahead enrichment activities. Staying Ahead allows graduates to talk about their struggles and successes; work on augmenting their resources (as identified in Getting Ahead); receive training to improve employment skills; and explore further strategies that can assist them in transitioning out of poverty. Prerequisite: Getting Ahead
Money Matters 101
This course is and 8-10 week course that provides financial literacy education to Getting Ahead graduates. Pre-requisite: Getting Ahead.

The R Rules: Identifying & Building Resources for Teens
The R Rules is an enrichment course to help high school students identify and develop resources, and build resiliency. The course will focus on 10 different types of resources: financial, physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, support systems, relationships, role models, and knowledge of hidden rules and language that productive citizens need.
